IN SOUTH LUANGWA

the award winning Bush-Spa of Mfuwe

A touch of Nature whilst on Safari!
A relaxing holistic treatment is the ideal way to break up an exciting safari!
But not to worry, game viewing can even continue at the unique Bush-Spa in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia.
The setting is dreamy, on a secluded deck next to a lagoon that sees permanent heavy hippo traffic and a wide diversity of other animal visitors.
An experience not to be missed!

Your purely private safari at Jake & Gillie House

A stunning private home for short term rentals and a stay here is easily combined with a vehicle or guided safari from us at Personal Touch Safaris.
Jake & Gillie’s house is five minutes from the entrance to South Luangwa National park. It stands on 200 acres of private land with a breathtaking, widescreen 180 degree view over a winter thorn studded dambo, frequently visited by elephant, giraffe, buffalo, puku and other game. The house sits on a ridge with a lagoon at its foot, so the game never strays far from this permanent water source. Contact us for more information.

Caring for our communities

Project Luangwa

tourism supporting education

Project Luangwa, a NGO formed in 2010 by safari operators as a part of the commitment to responsible tourism. Their aim is to create an effective, coordinated approach to help local communities improve their long term economic prospects whilst avoiding a negative impact on the environment and wildlife.

Besides selling some excellent souvenirs, they also have the best cafe in town, so go pay them a visit, just next to the filling station.

As a charity operating in Zambia, they believe that by developing and improving education in schools and creating training opportunities they can help families have the chance of a lasting and sustainable income.
We couldn't agree more!

Personal Touch Safaris is happy to be a part of helping Project Luangwa. We helped give a big donation that will last for years. We did this by encouraging people to visit, staying in touch with donors and their families, and showing off the amazing things Project Luangwa can do with donations.
